Expert Guru
Since 2006, I have worked as a freelance writer and consultant specializing in legal issues and career development. After earning Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and Literature from American University, I went on to attend University of Baltimore Law School. I have worked in the legal field in Florida, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia in positions ranging from counselor to manager to paralegal. Most of my professional work has centered on family law, but I also have experience in the areas of medical malpractice defense, aviation law, and general civil litigation.
Outside of my legal work, I have managed two non-profit agencies and taught academic research and writing. I have also been a vocal advocate for mental health and depression awareness.
My teaching experiences taught me the value of explaining complex topics in a way that is both easy to understand and interesting. I keep this in mind as I produce all of my online writing.
